Can I export and import AI Prompts between two orgs/environments?

Introduction

From e2a v3.4967 (AI Services enablement required), export and import features for AI Prompts have been introduced. Using this feature, users can now export single or multiple prompts in one go and import functionality is also possible with a single click. A detailed guide has been provided below.

Permission set required: e2a - Data Migration Admin (Please assign this permission set to the user before attempting to import or export AI prompts). If you are still unable to see the Import Export buttons please click here.

Note: In order to use e2a AI Services, install/upgrade the e2a package with version 3.4934.0 or higher.

How to Export an AI Prompt

1. Go to 'e2a AI Services' tab and click 'All' in AI prompts section:
   
2. We will be directed to the list view of AI prompts.
3. Open the prompt record which you want to export.
4. Click Export button.
   
   
5. A confirmation message will be shown on the UI.
   
6. You will receive an email with a link to the export file after the export process completes.
   
7. You can also locate the exported file under 'Files' tab in your org.

You can also export multiple AI Prompts in one go. 

How to Export multiple AI Prompts in one go?

To export multiple AI Prompts in one go, you can select the required prompt records from the list view as shown below and then can clickthe  Export button. The rest of the process will be similar to what you have seen in the above section around exporting a single AI Prompt.


 

How to Import an AI Prompt?

1. Click the Import button from the e2a AI Prompts list view.
2. You can import exported AI Prompt records in two ways:

a) By uploading the exported JSON file: In this method, you upload an earlier exported JSON file which contains the data related to the prompt records you want to import.

b) By selecting the file from within the org: You can search and select the required JSON file from within the org.

2. Next, click the above Import button, and you will see the imported AI Prompt records under QA AI Imports in your org.
