How to configure the e2a Email Client to be placed inline within Lightning Record Pages? 

Introduction

Are you looking for a way to send emails from e2a without ever leaving your Lightning Record Pages? Look no further! With e2a's inline email client, you can easily configure your Lightning Record Pages to include an email client right there on the page.

Currently we have two variants for the inline e2a email client: 

1. Default e2a Email Client (Visualforce Component Name: InlineEmailComponent) 

From e2a v3.4967, the email body editor has been upgraded to a newer version.

2. Compact e2a Email Client (Visualforce Component Name: InlineEmailComponentLite) 

From e2a v3.4967, the email body editor has been upgraded to a newer version.

How to set up Inline Email Client

Follow these steps below to set up the Inline e2a Email Client: 

1. Go to Setup | Lightning App Builder and click the New button. 

2. Select the Record Page and move forward by clicking the Next button. 

3. Enter a suitable Label and select the Object to which you want to add the Inline e2a email client. 

4. If you don’t have any preferred page template, select the Salesforce default Lead Grouped View Default and click Finish. 

5. On the next screen you can choose the section of the page layout where you want to add the Inline e2a Email Client. In the screenshot below, the menu bar of the main section has been selected to create a tab for the Inline e2a Email Client. From the right sidebar, click the Add Tab button and fill out the newly created tab details as shown below. 

6. Select the newly added e2a Email tab and drag & drop the Visualforce component from the left sidebar to the empty tab area. 

7. Click the newly added visualforce component and edit its properties from the right sidebar: 

   1. Uncheck the Show Label checkbox. 

   2. Select InlineEmailComponent or InlineEmailComponentLite in the Visualforce Page Name dropdown. 

   3. Set Height to 1000
                                                                                                                                                                     

8. Save this layout by clicking the Save button shown in the above screenshot. You can activate this newly created page layout as your org-wide default page layout and you will see that Inline e2a Email Client is available for the object to which you added this page layout (Lead object in this case).
